Courtney Kantor
Courtney Kantor obtained her LLB degree summa cum laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2019. During her final year, she had the privilege of serving as a student law clerk Supreme Court of Appeal Justice Wallis, which laid the foundation for the lawyer she one day hoped to be.
Courtney completed a full research Master's degree in 2020. She then clerked for Justice Madlanga at the Constitutional Court in 2021, an experience that deepened her passion for constitutional litigation and the protection of human rights.
Following her clerkship, Courtney returned to Durban to undertake her practical vocational training at Cox Yeats, gaining valuable experience in commercial law and litigation. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court on 4 September 2023.
In January 2024, she commenced pupillage at the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Advocates under the mentorship of Vishalan Naidu, which she successfully completed.
Courtney maintains a broad legal practice but aspires to specialise in public and constitutional law, with a focus on advancing social justice through the legal system.
