Muhammad Zakaria Suleman
Muhammad Zakaria is a Mail and Guardian Top 200 Young South African; Brightest Young Mind; and Know India Programme travel scholarship recipient. He is a former Fellow and junior researcher at public interest NGO SECTION27, and former research clerk for Justices Theron and van der Westhuizen at the Constitutional Court.
He completed pupillage in 2016 and has a general litigation practice, both as a junior and in his own capacity, with experience in commercial, public and constitutional law. Zakaria holds the rare distinction of having appeared, and argued, in the Constitutional Court during his first year of practice. He was the inaugural recipient of the Group 502/Bay Group Fellowship and has published his writing in both academic journals and popular media.
